Who are The Mongrels?

Dictionary definition

The Mongrels crave new sounds, new perspectives, and always revolution. Burning old work to create newness, and so on. Drawn to whimsical distractions and creative impulses, their influences are all things theoretically plausible but physically impossible.

The name, ‘Mongrels’ in a sense sums up this idea. A mixed breed of musical style and genre. However they are under no illusion that playing Doctor Moreau is risky. However innovation and creativity feed on such risks. Expression and revolution afterall are the children of risk.

After three years of weddings, corporate shows, pub singing and busking full time, The Mongrels have reached the proverbial causeway. With the musical expertise of Dave Griffin, (who has since become a fully fledged member of the band) they have shifted a gear musically and ideologically. This collaboration is acting like the catalyst they needed to kick out the odyssey Jams.
